Strongest Link: Best web directories index

I found this a while back and decided to share it. It goes over some of the key ranking factors and includes a list of the best directories to list your web site in. There are some good ones, and while a web site won't get great traffic from directories alone, it can help. So check out Strongest Link's best web directories list and maybe you'll find a nice place to get a link for your site. I know some more great directories that aren't… Continue

Save Time Checking Backlinks

I came across a nice program for checking backlinks. They even have a free version you can try to see how it works for you. The web page looks a bit spammy, but it's seriously a nice program if you want to quickly find out who's linking to a web site and how. The program is called SEO Spyglass and I was fairly impressed with it. Most of their stuff looks spammy, but this program works for me. Check it out!

Great Link Bait, 100+ Untapped Link Building Strategies

I found this while reading my RSS feeds today. 100+ Untapped Link Building Strategies from Zanypixel.com gave some great ideas on how you can build a few more links for your web site. Not all of the ideas are great, but there's probably a little something for everyone. For example the part about "CSS galleries are another untapped source of traffic" probably isn't going to work for most people. I real… Continue

Pay Per Click Management

Bruce Clay, Inc. had a great article on pay per click management. It covered a lot of good ideas on how to tweak adwords to better track results. One thing that I happen to be fond of that I didn't see listed here is making duplicate ads. Instead of rotating A/B/C/D I rotate A/A/B/B/C/C/D/D. By making identical copies of each add I can see if the click through rates are repeatable or if they're a fluke.

Either… Continue

Vacation? Would you believe we had to cool our heels in Southern France for a week which was nice but we were waiting for an urgent mail delivery so weren't able to get out and see the sights. I got some great pictures of the Atlantic surf south of Bordeaux and my pocket is a bit poorer due to eating out every night.

BTW, looks like you've got this network off to a great start with the type of article you're writing, I just hope I'll be able to make some half decent observations now and again.
